Here on the
Renew My Home blog, we generally like to focus on

topics that are solely dedicated to home improvement and renewable energy. Every once in a while we digress to write about a topic or product that we believe is of interest to our audience, and today is one of those times…
The
Chevy Cruze is a compact-sized vehicle aimed at competing directly with the Honda Civic and Toyota Corolla. It boasts many novel features including a
liquid applied sound deadener to minimize road noise. Chevy Cruze utilizes existing technologies with energy saving tweaks. (Who says we need to reinvent our vehicle fleet from scratch with new fuels?) Some features include a 1.4L turbocharged engine that can allow for
up to 40 mpg. Additionally, the Cruze features 10 air bags, OnStar, keyless entry, XM Radio, 17-inch alloy wheels and
low-rolling resistance tires.
Cruze arrives in the third quarter of 2010 — starting at just $16,995. Why you may ask yourself is this revolutionary? Because we are utilizing existing technologies and pricing them at historic lows. This car doesn't need a tax credit, learning curve, or rare material to save our environment as well as save our citizens money
today! There is something to be said for that. We need more vehicles like the Cruze while we work on ramping up our future transportation expertise. This car’s fuel efficiency paired with its low price brings energy savings into the grasp of many Americans
now.
